Our Story
Prologue Bicycles was born from a lifelong passion for cycling that began on the streets of Windsor, Ontario. Inspired by the thrill of road racing and the artistry of custom bike design, our founder started tinkering with frames in a basement workshop in the early 1990s. What started as a dream to create unique, rider-focused bicycles evolved into Prologue Endurance Sports, officially founded in 1995. From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a brand dedicated to crafting high-quality, custom bikes that reflect the individuality and performance needs of every cyclist.

Our mission is to design and build bicycles that inspire riders to push their limits, whether on a competitive racecourse or a leisurely ride. We prioritize quality, precision, and personalization, ensuring every bike we create is tailored to the rider’s needs, from geometry to aesthetics.
Our Craft
Rooted in hands-on experience, Prologue combines traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. Our founder’s early days of welding and brazing frames laid the foundation for a brand that values durability, performance, and style. Partnering with skilled manufacturers, we use premium materials like Columbus tubing and carbon fiber to deliver bikes that are both reliable and visually stunning. Every frame is designed with the rider in mind, offering custom solutions for all sizes and riding styles—because no two cyclists are the same.
Our Community
From supporting local racing teams to fostering a welcoming environment for cyclists of all levels, Prologue is deeply connected to the cycling community. We’ve proudly sponsored teams and events, helping to grow the sport we love. Our Ottawa-based shop, established in 2008, serves as a hub for cyclists to connect, share their passion, and find the perfect bike.
